Eastside Pathways has just released a new community scorecard for the 2012-13 school year. This hot-off-the-presses report is the first follow-up the December 2013 Eastside Pathways Baseline Report. Whereas the baseline report mostly focused on the 2011-12 school year, this scorecard adds data from 2012-13 to provide a more complete picture of our collective starting point.
I know what you’re thinking. Didn’t we just finish the 2013-14 school year? Where is that data? Rest assured, data enthusiasts: results from the most recent school year will be available soon. In fact, production of the 2013-14 scorecard is already underway. It is scheduled for release in November or December of this year, a few short months away.
When all is said and done, Eastside Pathways will have released three community reports in a twelve-month span: the baseline report in December 2013, this scorecard in August 2014, and the next scorecard in late 2014. The reason for this flurry of reporting is that we are trying to “catch up” to the present day. The partnership has existed for three years and we will soon have a report that documents each of them. Once we are all caught up, the pace will slow to one a year—truly an annual report.
In the meantime, I invite you to take five minutes to peek at this scorecard and learn a little more about how children are doing in our community. Wishing everyone the best as we start another great school year!
