From skin tone hierarchies in Latin America, to beauty standards in South Asia, to shade bias in Black and Asian communities—colorism shows up differently across the world, yet its roots and impacts are deeply connected.
In this session of the Wisdom Series, we’ll explore three short documentaries that reveal how colorism impacts different cultures. Following the films, a panel of community members will share reflections and personal experiences, opening space for dialogue about how colorism shapes identities, opportunities, and communities.
