Dear Friends,
We are excited to share our renewed bi-monthly newsletter with you. We hope it will be a chance for you to read about the work of Eastside Pathways and the Partnership, and provide opportunities for you to engage more with the work.
Here are some highlights of the work that has been happening at Eastside Pathways over the past few months:
- Amy Wasser, our Interim Executive Director, has been interviewing many Eastside Pathways stakeholders as part of the organizational assessment she is doing. Once it has been completed, we will be sure to share the results and recommendations with you.
- The Reimagining Leadership Group has been hard at work over the past year identifying a new leadership structure for the Partnership that will put the community at the center. A great group of community members have been identified to serve on this first newly refined Leadership Table, and we look forward to introducing you to them as they begin their work over the next few months.
- The Backbone Board has recently been reduced in size and scope. With the creation of the new Leadership Table, the Backbone Board’s role will be focused on governance and fiscal oversight of the Backbone.
- We want to thank all the Partners who signed the 2023 Partnership Agreement. We are excited for the work ahead and your renewed commitment to collective impact and our shared vision of ensuring children, youth, and young adults in East King County are thriving, from cradle to career. We also wish to welcome our new partners to the table – Columbia Choirs of Metropolitan Seattle, Eastside Youth Coalition, Eton School, and The Emotional Abuse Discussion.
- We are grateful to all the Partners who completed the 2022 Partner Survey and may have participated in the survey validation meetings in December 2022 and January 2023. We are excited to share the results of the survey and hope that you find this information both relevant and eye-opening, and that it serves to heighten your commitment to collective impact and the work of the Partnership. The Backbone staff, alongside the new Leadership Table, will be using these results as a beginning framework for the next Partnership Strategic Plan.
We hope you enjoy reading the rest of this newsletter, and if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Warmly,
Cathy Habib
