The Eastside Pathways Partner Leadership Committee (PLC) serves as the decision-making and accountability body for Eastside Pathways partnership. Its role is to:
- Align individual and organizational actions
- Work with partner organizations to align resources and funding to support the common goals as identified by the partnership
- Promote the effective use of data and commit to championing data-driven decision-making
- Ensure shared accountability and coordinated action along the cradle to career pipeline, and advocate to better align funding around what works
- Recruit and support stakeholders in the community
The PLC is comprised of leaders (ED/CEO level) from partner organizations. Members have two-year terms which can be renewed, but the goal is to have as many partner organizations as possible rotate through the committee so that all partners have mutual responsibility as well as shared accountability. The structure is also set up to get many voices, so founding members were intentionally chosen from organizations of different sizes and in different stakeholder groups from the community.
Some areas that the PLC may focus on include helping the collaboratives overcome roadblocks, determining if new collaboratives should be started, and reviewing and providing input into our shared goals and indicators. All members of the PLC are asked to be ambassadors for the partnership in the community.
The PLC held a retreat in December 2015 to prioritize goal, and is now finalizing its governance structure. The plan is to have a Secretary who will serve for one year, a Chair who serves for two years, and alternating a Chair Elect and an Immediate Past Chair. The committee has also proposed that the PLC Chair will have an ad hoc seat on the governing board of Eastside Pathways backbone to ensure strong alignment. These officers will be elected at the PLC meeting in March 2016.
