Westminster Chapel joined Eastside Pathways in October 2015. Let us learn more about the role they play in the Bellevue community.

Westminster Chapel was birthed in Bellevue 51 years ago with a mission to respond to local and global needs by turning compassion into action.  Our goal is to see the transformation of society through whole-hearted, authentic engagement with the economic, relational, cultural, and spiritual needs of the Eastside.

Our partnerships

Wherever possible we have partnered with private, public or corporate organizations to maximize our resources.  For example, Westminster Chapel runs a Talk Time at the Bellevue YMCA;  hosts the Overlake Senior Wellness Fair annually; runs a well-established and highly respected counseling and care center; welcomes Congregations for the Homeless each April; hosts the Westminster Language Academy; is a founding partner with the Jubilee Reach Center/Service Day; and established and ran the pan-Asian-focused Lunar New Year Celebration for 12 years.

Getting involved

We welcome volunteers in many of our projects and partnerships.  Here are a few sample areas:

  • Join the Jubilee Service Day each August
  • Provide meals for Congregation for the Homeless participants in April
  • Provide child care for Language Academy students

Eastside Pathways and Westminster Chapel

We firmly believe that we have been mandated as a congregation to see and respond to the needs of those around us, especially among the most vulnerable of our society.  By joining in the mission of Eastside Pathways, we will be helping to fulfill the purpose for Westminster Chapel’s existence in Bellevue. Our partnership with Eastside Pathways will help us work collectively with other organizations and increase success for our families, schools, and society.
