Eastside Pathways has always been about continuous improvement. Whether that’s internal to our Backbone, our Partnership or within the wider systemic practices, policies, and procedures holding children back from their full potential.
As we implement our 2020-2023 strategic plan, the way we approach our work might look somewhat different, but the mission and the core commitment to collective impact and racial equity continues.
Our mission remains to work across organizations to shape systems that support every child, step-by-step, from cradle to career. Our approach now is much more intentional. We are refining the “how” we go about our mission. We’re implementing some new, formalized strategies to guide our Partnership through the important work of diagnosing and improving processes within systems which impact the community.
Some strategies to increase these capacities within the Partnership will include:
- Collective Impact – the Conditions under which the Partnership operates. For a more in-depth look at the effectiveness of Collective Impact, read this excellent article in the Stanford Social Innovation Review
- Equitable Results Series – the Framework used in the Partnership to identify and improve adaptive challenges in the systems within our community which impede children’s success. An in-depth video of some of these tools can be viewed here
- Adaptive Leadership – the Culture fostered by the Backbone and lived in the Partnership in which we do our work. For a high-level review read this overview
- Racial Equity – the core value, or North Star that guides our work
In short, Eastside Pathways continues its mission of every child thriving, cradle to career. How we approach that goal is evolving into a more intentional, accountable and focused environment.
