StriveTogether announced their second ‘Viz of the Month’ – Kelly Jones, Data Officer at Eastside Pathways!
In their newsletter they shared:
StriveTogether is currently celebrating the work of our Network’s Tableau fellows and learning about how the software is advancing their partnership’s work. Each fellow has had the opportunity to transform their partnerships’ data visualization through hands-on support and coaching from experts at Tableau. Tableau fellows featured have the option to select which piece of their work they’d like highlighted and have included some context for how Tableau is being used as a catalyst for their work.
Kelly selected her visualization of Third Grade Reading Proficiency to be their ‘Viz of the Month’ for August.

The article also has Fellows, including Kelly, sharing their fellowship experience.
Kelly joined the Eastside Pathways Backbone staff as Data Officer in January 2014. She draws upon her experience as a researcher, policymaker, volunteer, and public school teacher to serve the partnership in this role. While completing a master’s degree in Education Policy at Vanderbilt University, Kelly worked with the Tennessee Consortium to conduct research and program evaluation for the state’s Race to the Top initiatives. She was also chosen for the Urban Leaders policy fellowship with Colorado State Senator Mike Johnston. A proud graduate of Bellevue High School, Kelly earned a bachelor’s degree in PPE (Philosophy, Politics & Economics) and Hispanic Studies from the University of Pennsylvania in 2008.
