Eastside Pathways Youth Council
The Eastside Pathways Youth Council shifts young people from passive participants to active decision-makers in their communities.
This application based summer program is critical for both the youth and East King County:
👤 Youth Empowerment & Leadership
- Amplifies Youth Voice: Teenagers directly advise city leaders, school districts, and nonprofits on local policies.
- Builds Workforce Skills: Participants gain hands-on experience in data analysis, public speaking, and project management.
- Offers Fair Compensation: Students receive stipends, ensuring financial barriers do not prevent participation.
👥 Community Impact
- Drives Equity: Youth research focuses heavily on systemic disparities affecting marginalized students on the Eastside.
- Informs Adult Leaders: Local organizations receive raw, honest feedback about what the younger generation actually needs.
- Bridges Generational Gaps: The program creates direct lines of communication between teenagers and local policymakers.
